Accessibility statement
We want every donor, teacher, family, and student to be able to use this website with ease.
Our commitment
Project DREAM is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to people of all abilities. Accessibility is part of our mission to serve a diverse community, and we treat it as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time task.
Standard we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading order and landmark regions
- A "skip to content" link and full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
- Color combinations chosen to meet AA contrast for text and interactive elements
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and labels for icon-only buttons
- Labels tied to every form field, with clear error messages near the field
- Support for reduced-motion preferences and text resizing without loss of content
- A responsive layout that works across phones, tablets, and desktops
Known limitations
As a small, volunteer-run organization, we are continually improving. Some older documents or third-party tools we link to may not yet meet the same standard. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us so we can prioritize a fix.
